Why this helps: You save time, avoid mistakes, and keep your records clean so tax season is a breeze.

Here’s how WorkMade handles contractor payments:

  1. Flip the Contractor Switch — When you pay, just toggle “Contractor” to mark the payment correctly.

  2. We Email Your Contractor — WorkMade sends them an email to enter their W-9 tax info and choose payment method (ACH, PayPal, etc.).

  3. We Track Everything — All payments marked as contractor expenses are logged, categorized, and tied to their tax records automatically.

  4. What’s Next? — We collect everything needed but don’t file the 1099-NECs with the IRS yet. That feature is coming soon!

Common mistake: Thinking you have to chase down all contractor paperwork yourself. WorkMade does the heavy lifting so you don’t have to.
